Yes, studies show that planned home or birth center births for low risk clients attended by a qualified midwife are just as safe or safer than a hospital birth. When birthing at home, interventions are reduced and satisfaction is increased.

At this time our practice only accepts “out of pocket” payments; however, payment plans are available. A super bill can be issued upon request to submit to your insurance after your delivery for reimbursement.

This is a highly personal question, and only you can answer this. Home birth is designed for people with low-risk pregnancies who want an intimate birthing experience in the safety of their own home with a trusted Midwife.

In the case of a transfer during delivery, what happens will depend on the situation. Most transfers from a home birth are non-emergent and can be done in a personal vehicle. Your records will be sent to your preferred hospital, and the midwife or her assistant will continue to accompany you.
In the case of an emergency, 911 will be called, and an ambulance will transport you to the nearest hospital. Your midwife will continue to provide support in this instance as well.

Your midwife will either drop off the needed supplies at your 36 week visit or have a package available for you to order prior to your delivery.

Absolutely! This is one of the many benefits of a home birth. You are in complete control of how you want your birthing environment to look.
